About me

“I believe that true identity is found . . . in creative activity springing from within. It is found, paradoxically, when one loses oneself. Woman can best refind herself in some kind of creative activity of her own.”
― Anne Morrow Lindbergh

For me this is so true. I find a quite kind of solace when I am using my hands and creating. As a young child I felt a spiritual connection to nature. I was fascinated by nature and the intricacies found within. I spent hours exploring the patterns that were noticeable all around me. Spirals, ripples, branching, spots, stripes, cracks, waves; they were everywhere. I was also exhilarated by the colors that were native to my home state. Those Carolina blue skies, the vivid autumn colors, the soft, subtle, coastal hues and the rich blues and greens of the Blue Ridge Mountains all aroused my spirit. My designs are my creative efforts to echo these wonders and help me express my appreciation for nature.
